7th Light
DISCLAIMER
I wasn't finished after 7 days and then decided to spend an eighth day to get it into a minimum playable state. The game that's playable on on this page is the 8 day version.
You can check out the 7 day version in the downloads. A list of what changed can be found below.
7th Light
Explore the dungeon to find and light 7 torches.
Items
Items and your hp are mysteriously linked.
The less hp you have, the stronger your items get.
The same applies to all enemies, so beware!
Combat:
You can stab enemies with your sword or punch them directly by moving into them. Punching will hurt you as well.
Controls:
Movement: wasd / arrow keys
Press space, enter or A on a controller to show/hide enemy statistics (hp and inventory).
Press tab, escape or B on a controller to pause/unpause the game.
Health Control?
This game uses some stuff from another previous jam "game" of mine named Health Control. (You can check it out. It's not good)
I had to adjust all sprites and expanded on the main mechanic though.
Reused sprites:
- Player, Zombie, Legs, Head
- Shoe, Sword, Heart, Heart Container
Reused Mechanics:
- Items as HP with a limited inventory space
8th day changes
- Added menus and win/lose state
- Added hud
- Changed sword item to make it turn
- added item indicators in entity stats
